New version of the Statistics as Graphs plugin

We have released an update of the free Statistics as Graphs plugin for the OpenX Ad Server. This new version fixes a problem with very large numbers in the statistics that were being returned from the database in scientific notation.

Version 1.0.2 of the Statistics as Graphs plugin for OpenX is available for download right now at:

New plugin: Geolocation Magic Macros

We have also released another free plugin recently, called MagicGeo. It enables you to dynamically insert the name of the geographic location of a visitor into a banner. This can be used in both the HTML code and the destination URL. Using this new feature, you can automatically make a banner adjust its content to the location of a visitor.

OpenX Statistics as Graphs plugin v1.0.1 - Download now

Hello OpenX user,

The team at AdserverPlugins.com is releasing an update of the free Statistics as Graphs plugin for the OpenX Ad Server. This version 1.0.1 is available for download right now.

Download the new version of this plugin from our website.

This is a bug fix release that takes care of the following issues:

Fixed compatibility issue with PHP versions lower than v5.2.
Fixed problem with very big numbers in the statistics being represented in scientific notation, but Open Flash Chart v2 can't handle scientific notation.
Fixed problem with graphs not being displayed in certain situations in Internet Explorer, when the OpenX user interface is running on a secure address (https).
Fixed problem where the "Next" button underneath the graphs was appearing out of place when using Internet Explorer 8.

We want to thank all the people that contacted us to report their issues, and helped us test our proposed fixes before releasing the update to the public. Feel free to leave your comments on the website if you have feedback, tips or suggestions for this plugin.

Update for OpenX Statistics as Graphs plugin - Download now

Season's greatings from the team at AdServerPlugins.com! We hope you're enjoying a nice long holiday weekend, and we wanted to add to the festivities by letting you know about a new version of the Statistics as Graphs plugin for OpenX Ad Server.

Download the new version of this plugin from our website. The page also has screen shots to give you a quick preview of what the new graphs look like.

What's new and improved in this version?
In addition to the Global History Graph that was available in the beta version, this new version now has graphs for almost all statistics that OpenX can show: advertisers, campaigns, banners, websites, and zones. Graphs are now available for all user types (administrators, managers, advertisers, website owners). Every graph has buttons to navigate to the previous and next month, or to go up a level to show the current year’s statistics. Clicking a bar will drill down into the underlying statistics, down to a day graph with an hourly break down. Graphs will show the actual numbers for every bar and dot by positioning the mouse over them. The graphs are now displayed using the open source product "Open Flash Chart 2", which comes bundled with the plugin. To speed up the display of the graphs, the initial time frame is always the current month.

Kick Starting the OpenX Plugin Ecosystem

This is the first e-mail newsletter sent out by the team at AdServerPlugins.com, and we want to start by thanking you for subscribing to our mailing list. After we started the site in September, it turned silent for a while, but this week we've been able to make up for that.

Kick Starting the OpenX Plugin Ecosystem - Monday, November 9, 2009
Ever since the release of OpenX Ad Server v2.8 in April 2009, developers have been able to make third party plugins to enhance the functionality of the software. The concept is simple, but we are not seeing a flow of plugins yet. We intend to break through that standstill by publishing free plugins that demonstrate the concept, and by developing plugins for paying customers. We also want to provide a platform for developers to promote their plugins (both free and commercial) by opening this website to them. In short, we want to kick start the OpenX plugin ecosystem.

Free plugin: display OpenX statistics as Graphs - Tuesday, November 10, 2009
OpenX Ad Server has on-screen reports that display the statistics for advertisers, campaigns, websites, and zones, and an overall report that shows ‘global history’. This free plugin adds a new item to the Statistics section, that displays the global history statistics of the last year in the form of a graph. There are zoom controls on the graph that enable the user to look at specific time frames.

A few days after we published our call to help kick start the OpenX Plugin Ecosystem, OpenX.org released a new plugin that enables users to deliver video ads directly through their OpenX Ad Server.
